On this page i will give you a tutorial of how to create a title in avid:

 

- When making a title make sure you have the blue bar at the stop in your movie where you want the title to show up.

-After you have it in place go to the menu bar and click on ‘Tools’.

A drop down menu will appear. Go to the last name at the bottom and click on the one called ‘Title Tool’.

- A box will appear, just click on the right button called “Title Tool”. The Title tool will open.

- First click on the text tool which is located at the lower left hand corner of the title tool pop up window. It is mark as a capital letter ‘T’.

- Click anywhere in the picture to start typing. Make sure you dont go outside the first dotted line sqaure. Your title might get cut off it your title exceeds this box.

-After your done placing your title, just click the red ‘x’ of the pop up window. The program will ask you if you want to save the title. Click ‘YES’.

-Save it as what ever you want.

-Now if you haven’t already, in your ‘Timeline’ box make a second video track. To do this just right click above the first video track in the grey area. Select add a new video track.

- In your Superbin click and drag your title into the second video track.

-Now all that’s left is for you to cut and shrink the length of your title to your desire needs.
